A new international bakery chain is set to expand the growing Loma Vista Marketplace in Clovis, California. Paris Baguette is the latest addition to the shopping center, marking another step in the area’s steady retail expansion.
Signage for Paris Baguette has already been installed at a corner unit in the shopping complex located at Shaw and Leonard avenues. Construction work is underway inside the store, with the opening expected between August and September this year.
The bakery will add more dining options to the center, which continues to develop as a busy retail destination. Loma Vista Marketplace is anchored by major stores such as Tractor Supply Company and Ulta Beauty, which opened in April.
Paris Baguette is a global bakery brand that began in South Korea. It is known for a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, sandwiches, coffee, and tea. The brand has expanded internationally in recent years, opening stores across multiple countries, including the United States.
The Clovis location will be the third Paris Baguette store in the Fresno area. Other nearby branches include locations at River Park in northeast Fresno and the Marketplace at El Paseo in northwest Fresno. Both of those stores opened within the past year.
The expansion of Paris Baguette reflects growing demand for international food chains in the region. The bakery’s presence is expected to attract more visitors to the shopping center, especially as new dining and retail options continue to open.
Loma Vista Marketplace is part of a larger development plan that includes multiple phases of construction. Several new businesses are expected to join the center in Phase 2, further increasing its size and variety of services.
Alongside Paris Baguette, additional tenants are planned, including The Press Box, Jamba Juice, Batter Up, and Butterfish. These businesses are expected to open in nearby units, although no official signage has been installed yet.
The expansion comes as Clovis continues to grow as a retail and residential hub in the region. New shopping centers and restaurant chains have been steadily entering the area, driven by population growth and increased consumer demand.
Recently, Five Below also opened a store at Loma Vista Marketplace on May 1. The arrival of multiple national and international brands highlights the center’s rapid development and rising popularity among shoppers.
However, not all planned businesses have moved forward as expected. Corner Bakery Cafe had previously been expected to open a location at the center, but uncertainty remains after its nearby Fresno outlet closed earlier this year.
Despite this, developers continue to move forward with construction and leasing activity. The ongoing buildout suggests strong confidence in the long-term success of the shopping center.
Local residents are expected to benefit from increased dining and shopping choices as the project expands. With more openings planned in the coming months, Loma Vista Marketplace is positioning itself as a major retail destination in the Clovis area.
The addition of Paris Baguette adds another international brand to the mix, strengthening the center’s appeal and continuing its steady growth into a modern shopping and dining hub.
